Winnie's Bakehouse is more than a café and bakery — it's a community hub built on warmth, quality and hometown hospitality. We're looking for an experienced Café/Bakery Manager who can lead with heart and backbone.
This role is for someone who genuinely cares about people, takes pride in standards, and knows how to run a smooth, profitable, well-organised operation — while keeping the team happy, supported and accountable.
What you'll be doing
* Leading, coaching and developing a diverse FOH team to perform at their best
* Creating a positive, safe, inclusive and respectful workplace where people enjoy coming to work
* Owning day-to-day operations: rostering, labour control, service flow and stock management
* Upholding high standards of cleanliness, food safety and presentation at all times
* Managing performance with clarity — giving praise where it's earned and addressing issues early and fairly
* Being a visible leader on the floor, setting the tone during busy service periods
* Working closely with the leadership team to improve systems, training and customer experience

* Proven experience managing a café, bakery or fast-paced hospitality venue
* A strong people leader who balances empathy with clear expectations
* Confident decision-maker who stays calm under pressure
* High standards for service, cleanliness and professionalism
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Weekend availability and a hands-on approach
