This position has arisen due to increasing demand and growth in our services. Reporting through to the Construction Manager, Project Manager/s and Site Supervisor/s, your role as a Post Tensioning Technician will be on a permanent or casual basis located in Western Australia .
As a Post Tensioning Technician, you will support the installation, inspection and supervision of post tensioning systems and related concrete works for precast post-tensioned tanks located across Perth and Newman, WA. You will be working alongside Engineers, Project Managers, and site crews to ensure all post-tensioning operations meet design specifications, safety standards and project timelines.
The work involves both flat slab post-tensioning to base slabs and precast panels, as well as multi-strand post-tensioning to base slabs and tanks walls.
This role can be local based or on a FIFO roster.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the installation of post-tensioning cables, anchors and associated hardware according to project design and structural specifications
* Prepare work sites to set out anchor positions, install formwork/tendons where required and ensure materials and equipment are ready
* Monitor, measure and inspect post‑tension installations are compliant to design and safety standards
* Handle concrete pours/slab works in coordination with post‑tension setup
* Perform general laboring tasks as needed in the broader construction workflow
The successful applicant will ideally have
* Prior experience in post-tensioning, concrete work or construction labour
* Multistrand and monostrand (flat slab) post-tensioning experience is required ideally with exposure to twin bowl grout pumps, multistrand stressing equipment and 3‑phase strand pushers
* Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and plans
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Understanding of construction safety standards
* Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical including a drug and alcohol screen
