A leadership role in product verification and validation for a global engineering company developing complex hi-tech software and hardware products and executing systems development projects for global industrial and military customers.
Applicant must be eligible for Defence Security Clearance to NV1 (Australian Citizenship is required).
The position is based in north western Sydney close to trains with off-street parking and flexible hybrid working arrangements.
**This role exists to**:
- manage the V&V; team and be responsible for the conduct of systems level V&V; services,
- act as the company's V&V; authority, maintaining and improving the V&V; programs and policies,
- ensure that project specific V&V; outcomes are met.
**Job Requirements**:
- Educated to degree level in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering or comparable technical experience
- Extensive experience in an appropriate Engineering V&V; environment as well as validation activities from development to certification testing
- Proven people management & leadership skills
- Robust planning skills.
- Sound understanding of the Systems Engineering process as applied to software design, development, testing and qualification.
- Sound understanding of engineering standards such as ISO-12207 (SW Life Cycle), ISO-1012 (SW V&V;), EIA-632 (Sys Eng) and EIA-649 (Config Mgmt).
- Experience with a software engineering tools such as Git, Jira, DOORS, Confluence.
- Prior experience in Software Engineering
