Position: Head Chef (Full time)
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Head Chef who is committed to culinary excellence and leading with creativity. This role calls for a culinary qualified dedicated to delivering exceptional fine-dining experiences, showcasing cutting-edge menus, and setting the highest standards of quality and presentation. As Head Chef, you will inspire and mentor a talented team, driving consistency, excellence, and innovation at every service.
Main Tasks:
Plan menu, estimate food and labour costs
Achieve food budget cost controls, ensuring minimum wastage within the unit.
Actively participate in the ongoing management and development of all menus and costs.
Monitor and maintain consistent food standards and quality across all areas and during all stages of production and supply.
Ensure quality control measures and hygiene systems are achieved at all times.
Have total accountability for the day to day running of the kitchen service.
Purchase all food and food related products using approved suppliers.
Manage stock rotation and use by dates for the production of food are followed.
Understand and have working knowledge of all current health and safety and food hygiene requirements and ensure total compliance.
Select and train staff, and demonstrate cooking techniques and advise on cooking procedures
Prepare and cook food, and discuss food preparation issues with manager and executive chef
Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness, safety, and functionality
Responsibilities:
Follow and complete all tasks required for the role effectively and efficiently, ensuring a positive setting and workflow
About you:
Relevant Qualification
Visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate
Proven Head Chef or Senior Sous experience in high-volume venues
