Job Title: Building and Facilities Supervisor
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building and Facilities Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe day-to-day operation of our building and facilities.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the efficient and safe operation of our building and facilities.
* Monitor and assess performance of equipment and systems, working with other staff as required.
* Work closely with WHS & Laboratory Manager and Biological Facilities Manager to ensure appropriate maintenance and performance of scientific laboratories and equipment.
* Support WHS & Laboratory Manager, Biological Facilities Manager and scientists to ensure all equipment is managed according to industry best practice and in compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
* Manage day-to-day contractor activities and ensure routine maintenance is completed as per service agreement.
* Act as a key member of the WHS committee.
Requirements:
* Experience:
* Previous experience in building management, preferably in a scientific/medical research context.
* Skills:
* Proven ability to think analytically and identify complex problems.
* Ability to deliver a professional and responsive service to multiple stakeholders.
* Strong technical knowledge and experience managing budgets.
* Sound Microsoft Office skills and experience using BMS, security and asset management systems.
* Certifications:
* First aid qualifications or willingness to obtain.
