*About The Role:*
Working as a Residential Support Worker at our service in East Geelong, you will empower the people we support to live independently and participate in the community. Providing hands on support while ensuring a safe, inclusive and empowering environment, you will become an integral part of their care team.
Duties Will Include:
* Assisting with personal care, daily living tasks and household duties.
* Supporting community participation, social engagement and recreational activities.
* Encouraging independence by helping build skills and achieve goals.
* Building meaningful relationships to provide person-centred support.
* Maintaining accurate and thorough records of activities, progress and incidents.
What you will bring to the role:
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to problem solve
* Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
* Ability to accurately record case notes.
* Ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
* A passion for supporting people to live their best lives
* Current CPR, First Aid, Working with Children Check, NDIS Check & completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain)
* Victorian drivers licence
At Gateways we work on a fortnightly, Week 1/Week 2 roster which run Thursday to Wednesday. The roster for this vacancy is as follows:
*Week 1:*
Thursday: 7:00am -9:00am (2 hours)
Friday: 7:00am - 9:00am (2 hours)
Monday: 7:00am - 9:00am and 3:00pm-10:00pm (9 hours)
Wednesday: 7:00am - 9:00am (2 hours)
*Week 2:*
Thursday: 7:00am -9:00am (2 hours)
Friday: 7:00am - 9:00am (2 hours)
Saturday: 10:00pm-12:00am (2 hours) Active night
Sunday: 12:00am - 7:00am (7 hours) Active night
Monday: 7:00am - 9:00am and 3:00pm-10:00pm (9 hours)
Wednesday: 7:00am - 9:00am (2 hours)
