Responsibilities:
The Training Advisor will plan, develop, and coordinate effective training and competency programs across BCI operations, ensuring workforce capability is aligned with organisational goals, industry best practice, and regulatory standards. You will deliver site inductions, safety programs, operator assessments, and Verification of Competency (VOC) sessions. Additionally, you will assess training needs, design learning materials, schedule training, recommend external courses, and evaluate training effectiveness in collaboration with stakeholders.
The Company
BCI Minerals is a values-driven company developing sustainable minerals for the modern world. We are rapidly progressing the Mardie Salt Operation and Potash Project, a tier-1 solar evaporation project that will supply high-purity industrial salt and sulphate of potash for more than 60 years.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated training professional to lead delivery and continuous improvement of all operations-based training at our Mardie site. This role involves developing high-quality training documentation, maintaining Learning Management Systems, and driving BCI's training capability to support future growth.
About You
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and at least five years' experience in mining or processing operations.
Proven capability in developing, reviewing, and maintaining training documents.
Hands-on experience training and assessing across mobile plant and equipment, including VOCs.
Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and eLearning tools such as Articulate.
Current High Risk Work Licence (Forklift – LF), Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's Licence, and mobile plant tickets (Telehandler, Excavator, Skid Steer).
Optional strengths: experience in the salt industry, ability to operate/maintain 4WD vehicles, familiarity with INX LMS.
National police clearance not older than 3 months, WA White Card, and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
