With 5 locations over the Sunshine Coast and Tin Can Bay region we provide Physio, Chiro, Remedial Massage Therapy, Exercise Physiology and Occupational Therapy services.
Opportunity
An excellent opportunity is now available for a passionate and dedicated Remedial Massage Therapist to join our CNS Health Co team on site at our Mooloolaba location with opportunity for offsite work also.
The successful applicant will demonstrate independent management and co‑management of patients across our clinical group. Interprofessional communication skills will be required to work closely with our diverse clinical team.
We are offering a flexible part‑time or full‑time position with employee or contractor arrangements available.
Main Duties
* Apply strong clinical judgement, expertise and confidence with the soft tissue management of various, neurological and rehabilitative MSK complaints
* Apply best practice techniques considering safety, professionalism, hygiene
* Create a safe and relaxed environment where clients feel comfortable
* Prepare for patient interactions by accessing patients existing charts and getting across their treatment plans as recommended by the patient's lead clinician
* Accurately and effectively document your own treatment charts
* Demonstrate confidence and leadership for your patients to plan out future treatment recommendations accordingly in line with lead clinician and patient progress
* Educate clients about their injury/pain, prevention strategies and self‑management techniques
* Identify when to internally refer clients to other team members as appropriate for up the chain management
Key Skills & Requirements
* Diploma of Remedial Massage/Myotherapy
* Proven experience working within a multi-disciplinary team is preferable
* Proven experience working with athletes, sports and health industry is preferable
* Able to provide Massage Association Provider Number, ABN & relevant insurance documents
* Up to date with CPD requirements
* Up to date first aid requirements
* Hold appropriate work / residency visas to be able to work in Australia for longer than 18m.
* Able to provide police check records if required for working with aged care provider networks
* Availability for work hours that may include early shifts / middle day shifts / afternoon and early evening times
* Advanced course holders are preferred including: Myotherapy, Dry Needling, IASTM, strapping etc
