Stocking hundreds of brands in clothing, wetsuits, footwear, and surf/skate accessories. Sideways designs & produces a range of performance surfboards and accessories, as well as skateboards & hardware. Although we are a family run business our stores are big at sqm.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Retail Sales Assistant at Kawana Store to join the Sideways Crew to lead and develop a team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the store manager and 2IC with the sales, growth and success of our large store.
The successful candidate should have a strong retail background and experience in visual merchandising. Training is provided but a passion for the industry is always most welcome.
This is a full time position and will require availability over weekends (one day of the weekend) and public holidays, but as we are just as passionate as you when it comes to lifestyle; we provide excellent flexible roster opportunities.

DUTIES
* Focus on creating & maintaining an organised, positive team environment
* Store visual merchandising and fast paced retail experience preferred
* Offer exceptional customer service and a warm and friendly shopping experience
* Be responsible for the upkeep of the stores surf hardware department
* Motivate your team to achieve optimal results & strive to reach targets
* Assist with stock control and uphold superior visual merchandising standards
* Act responsibly in compliance with the store's procedures
* While set rosters are in place, be available to work non-traditional hours; weekends, evenings, holidays
SKILLS + EXPERIENCE
* Experience in retail customer service & in a fast-paced environment
* Minimum 1-2 years of retail customer service experience is required
* Experience & understanding of surf hardware products is essential
* Understanding of surf board design & construction preferred
* Self motivated & focus on excellent customer service as well as communication skills
* Ability to provide a genuine and unique customer experience
* Australian work rights will be assessed on a case by case basis
