Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our team. As an Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for preparing detailed electrical deliverables and ensuring accuracy and compliance with design standards.
Your Responsibilities
* Design Detail: Interpret engineer's conceptual designs and transform them into detailed technical deliverables.
* Drawing Preparation: Create and update electrical system deliverables, including Single Line Diagrams, Schematics, P&ID's, Cable Block Diagrams, Termination Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, Hookup Diagrams, Equipment BOM's and Panel Arrangements.
* Site Inspections: Conduct site inspections to gather data and verify existing drawings.
* Support & Maintenance: Maintain AutoCAD infrastructure and design tool procedures.
* Training & Audits: Train new starters in MIPAC's AutoCAD and design tool procedures and conduct regular audits.
* Team Collaboration: Work with drafters, designers, and engineers to ensure timely project completion.
* Standards Compliance: Ensure consistency and compliance with design standards across all projects.
About You
* Certificate, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), or relevant electrical trade background.
* Demonstrated experience in electrical design drafting.
* Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD (Intermediate to Advanced level).
* Familiarity with design tools such as AVEVA Instrumentation and/or Eplan is desirable.
* Exposure to 3D modeling software is advantageous.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
* Good oral communication skills for effective collaboration with engineers and design team members.
* Solid computer literacy and sound mathematical skills.
* Understanding of design standards and willingness to adhere to procedures.
* Ability to manage workload effectively and contribute to timely project delivery.
