About the Role
As our full-time Senior Food Technologist, reporting directly to the Business Development Manager, and leading a small team, you will:
Drive product innovation and lead the development of new sports nutrition formulations
Manage the New Product Development (NPD) process from concept to launch
Mentor and lead two Food Technologists
Ensure all products meet our high standards of quality and compliance
This is a hands-on, collaborative role where you'll work closely with Business Development, QA, Production, and Compliance teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end technical aspects of NPD projects
Coordinate team schedules & project timelines
Review formulations, raw materials & product specs for compliance
Maintain BOMs, product specifications & NPD documentation
Support QA & Production teams with investigations, audits & improvements
Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
What You'll Bring
Qualification in Food Science, Nutrition, Food Technology or related field (mandatory)
Experience in product development within food, beverage, sports nutrition or FMCG
Strong organisational & project coordination skills
Ability to analyse formulations, product specs and technical data
Leadership capability and interest in developing a small team
Experience with compliance, lab testing or ERP systems (advantageous)
