HSEQ Coordinator Role
The HSEQ Coordinator is responsible for managing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of BGIS Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) to:
* Provide BGIS HSEQ expertise and ensure compliance with statutory and contractual obligations
* Maintain WHS, environmental and client system compliance
* Update website content on HSEQ processes, procedures and records
* Manage internal HSEQ audits, Project WHS inspections, safety investigations and incident reporting
* Contribute to weekly, monthly and quarterly HSEQ reporting
* Provide training and technical support as required.
Skill and Experience Requirements
* Certificate IV in WHS
* 1+ years' experience in an HSEQ Coordinator role or similar, and 3+ years in a construction, property management, facility management or trades role
* Working knowledge of HSEQ management systems and standards including AS/NZS 4801 and AS/NZS ISO 14001
* Proven experience conducting safety inspections
* Ability to write reports, review safety documentation e.g. SWMS and safety plans, and issue work permits e.g. work at heights, hot works and confined space permits
* Able to respond quickly to change and adopt an innovative and collaborative approach to safety management.
