Horizon Digital Pty Ltd is in need of a Telecommunications Engineer to work in Perth. As a Telecommunications Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering expertise and architectural guidance for the integration of Horizon Digital's software solutions with telecommunications systems, networks, and connected technologies. You will play a key role in supporting technology projects for Tier-1 clients across relevant sectors, contributing to project planning and coordination, and working closely with software engineers, delivery teams, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are delivered to a high standard and aligned with project requirements.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Planning, designing and overseeing the integration of telecommunications systems, networks, and devices (including IoT, satellite, data, and digital communication systems) with custom software and digital solutions.
* Providing engineering and architectural guidance on how software platforms interface with telecommunications hardware, network infrastructure, and third-party systems.
* Preparing and contributing to engineering and delivery proposals, including defining objectives, scope, technical context, risks, and cost considerations.
* Ensuring telecommunications systems and integrations comply with relevant regulations, standards, security requirements, and organisational policies and procedures.
* Determining appropriate system configurations across telecommunications platforms, software systems, and networked environments to achieve required performance, reliability, and scalability.
* Assessing system performance to support short- and long-term planning, including recommendations for enhancements, upgrades, or additional capabilities as business needs evolve.
* Collaborating closely with software engineers, project leaders, and business users to ensure telecommunications considerations are embedded throughout the solution design and delivery lifecycle.
* Supporting project planning, scheduling, risk management, and delivery governance for initiatives.
* Managing technical communication with stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and vendors, throughout project delivery.
Remuneration: Commensurate with work experience, you will be paid, between $77,000 - $82,000 per annum + Superannuation
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Qualifications & Work Experience.
* Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Elecrtical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field + Minimum 1 year post qualification experience.
