About the Opportunity
Looking for more than just a sales role? At Legrand, we're not just about products – we're about people, potential, and partnerships. We're looking for a Business Development Manager (ACT) who thrives on building strong relationships, spotting opportunities, and turning ideas into action across the ACT, Riverina, and Monaro regions. This is a true hunter role in an existing and defined territory.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this hybrid role gives you the flexibility to work autonomously while being part of a collaborative national team that values innovation and trust.
What You'll be Doing
* Identifying, qualifying and tracking projects within the region using the Salesforce CRM tool
* Grow relationships with developers, electrical contractors, electrical wholesalers, and consultants.
* Tailoring presentations to deliver commercial insights based on the opportunity and audience
* Own your territory – drive growth opportunities and make data-informed decisions that deliver.
* Connect the dots across multiple channels to market, navigating key decision-makers with ease and capitalize on the opportunity
* Represent Legrand at regular industry events – not just attending, but standing out.
* Occasional travel (overnight, once every 8 weeks) to regional areas to stay connected and visible.
About You
* Based in ACT and ready to drive your own results, ability to work autonomously from your home office
* A natural communicator with current BDM experience (electrical industry? Even better).
* Existing electrical industry contacts and network in the region
* Internal and external collaboration is your superpower
* Strategic, self-motivated, and outcome-focused – you don't wait to be told what needs to happen.
* Experienced in using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and working with data to shape your approach.
* You hold a valid driver's licence and enjoy being on the road when needed.
