Job Title: Executive Manager Planning and Certification
As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the planning, certification, and regulation functions. This strategic position requires alignment of operations with the organization's priorities and values.
About the Role:
* Lead a team across planning, certification, and regulation functions to drive business outcomes.
* Manage multiple functions within the directorate and drive strategic alignment with the organization's priorities.
* Contribute to a collaborative leadership group focused on driving innovation and measurable outcomes for the community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management: Provide expert leadership in statutory and strategic planning, building certification, regulatory services, administration, and project planning and delivery.
2. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement plans that align with the organization's priorities and values.
3. Certification and Regulation: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and provide guidance on certification and development application processes.
Requirements:
* Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or related discipline AND/OR Building Certification (Unrestricted or Restricted).
* Demonstrated contemporary experience in a similar role, or substantial experience in a similar role with ongoing professional development.
* Experience in overseeing and developing plans and policy development at a management and leadership level.
* Knowledge and experience relating to building certification and/or development application and certification policy and legislation.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Relevant postgraduate project or business management qualifications.
* Local Government experience including relevant legislative and regulatory framework.
* Experience in project and contract management.
* Understanding and experience of procurement policy and management.
