Maintenance Manager – Darra
About The Role
At our Monier Roofing manufacturing site in Darra, this role is about keeping a well‐established operation running safely, reliably, and efficiently. It's a hands‐on leadership role where you'll lead a small, capable maintenance team and take ownership of site reliability, projects, and contractor management. It's a role for someone who leads from the front, sets clear standards, and isn't afraid to be on the floor when it matters. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Manager is accountable for all maintenance, site reliability, and capital works across the Darra site. You'll lead a team of 4 direct reports (3 Fitters and 1 Electrician), along with electrical contractors and additional project contractors as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate day‐to‐day maintenance activities across the site
* Drive safety performance and ensure WHSE compliance
* Manage maintenance budgets and cost control
* Oversee breakdown response and root cause analysis
* Implement and embed preventative and predictive maintenance systems
* Improve plant reliability and overall equipment performance
* Manage contractors, ensuring safe and compliant delivery of works
* Lead site‐based capital projects and improvement initiatives
* Optimise spare parts and maintenance planning processes
* Work closely with operations to support production outcomes
About You
This role suits someone from manufacturing or heavy industry who enjoys ownership, autonomy, and leading a tight‐knit team. An electrical background is ideal, but what matters most is leadership, reliability focus, and the ability to get outcomes through people.
* Trade qualification or Engineering background
* Strong experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Proven ability to build team capability and drive accountability
* Solid safety leadership track record
* Experience managing contractors and site projects
* Strong practical problem‐solving skills and mechanical aptitude
* Exposure to CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
* Confident stakeholder management across operations and contractors
