About the Role:
Challenge Foster Care, part of Challenge Community Services, is seeking a compassionate and professional Supervised Contact Worker to organise and supervise family and sibling contact for children and young people in Out-of-Home Care (OOHC).
This role plays a vital part in ensuring contact visits are safe, structured and supportive, while always prioritising the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and young people.
You will work closely with Case Workers, carers and families to facilitate meaningful connections and provide accurate, factual reporting following each contact session.

Duties:
* Organise and supervise family and sibling contact visits for children in OOHC
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people during all contact
* Provide emotional support to children and young people before, during and after contact
* Maintain professional, appropriate communication with carers and birth families
* Complete accurate, objective and timely written contact reports
* Adhere to all relevant legislation, policies and child protection standards
* Maintain confidentiality at all times
* Participate in team meetings and relevant training
* Ensure contact environments are safe and compliant with WHS requirements
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
* Experience working with children and families in complex situations
* Strong analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills
* Ability to manage and supervise complex family and sibling contact autonomously
* High-level negotiation and mediation skills
* Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and organisational needs
* Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, factual and high-quality written reports
* Competent in Microsoft Office
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Empathy and commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people
* Driver's Licence, Working With Children Check, and NSW NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Ability to pass a National Criminal History Check
* Access to a personal vehicle for work use, if required
* Ability to work both weekdays and weekends
Desirable:
* Qualifications in Human Services (Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services or related field)
