About the Role:

Curtin University has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Advisor to join our Employee Wellbeing Team in a full-time, permanent position

As part of our People & Culture team, you will inspire staff to embrace Curtin's vision of becoming a leading Global University and proudly contribute to achieving that goal. You will work in a vibrant, open-plan office where our customer-focused People and Culture team collaborates to support a diverse range of stakeholders across the university.

We are looking for someone who has recently championed their Companies' Wellbeing Strategy and wellbeing initiatives/activities. The ideal candidate will enjoy presenting to medium and larger forums, have excellent relationship-building skills, thrive in a busy environment, and be comfortable liaising with many stakeholders across a variety of levels.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Co-create and lead wellbeing initiatives and activities for the University
* Assist in reviewing our existing Wellbeing Strategy, in line with our University's overarching Strategic Plan
* Conducting wellbeing checks
* Assist in the management of non-work-related illnesses/matters
* Customer engagement
* Relationship management with employees and leaders and a range of external providers, including our Employee Assistance Provider (EAP)
* Working closely with the HR Business Partnering team, and the Health & Safety & Injury Management team
* Supporting and driving initiatives and events with our internal Employee Wellbeing Champion network
* Case management
* Developing return to work plans
* Coordinating and supporting accessibility requests/requirements
* Arranging independent medical examinations (as/when required)
* Coordinating special leave requests
* Coordinating training (facilitated by an external provider) for Mental Health First Aid
* Producing regular reports
* Presenting wellbeing initiatives
* Event coordination

Essential

* Completion of a relevant post graduate qualification with extensive relevant experience, preferably in Human Resources, Psychology, or Counselling
* Previous experience working in a similar position (most recently) is preferred
* previous experience working in a People and Culture team is preferred (however not essential)
* comfortable with presenting to medium to large groups
* previous experience with driving and implementing employee wellbeing initiatives is preferred
* Excellent interpersonal skills & ability to establish partnerships and build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Role Requirements:

* 1 As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
