 
        
        Clinical Nurse Consultant - Palliative Care 
Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services. 
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced palliative care nurse to join the Community Palliative Care Service at NHW. 
The primary role of the Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is to act as a senior clinician within the context of the multi-disciplinary team, across the Rural City of Wangaratta and Alpine Shire. The CNC will provide a clinical resource and clinical advisory / development role, undertake related projects, research and development activities specific to palliative care, and ensure a holistic palliative care service is provided to clients, carers/families in the community, hospitals and other care settings of the clients' choice. 
Responsibilities 
Provide senior clinical leadership within the palliative care multidisciplinary team across the defined region. 
Act as a clinical resource and advisory/ development lead for palliative care projects and research. 
Ensure holistic palliative care services are provided to clients and families in the community, hospitals and other care settings of the client's choice.

Wangaratta has a population of approximately 30,000 and the catchment serves around 100,000 in the northeast. 
Accessible by road and air with proximity to Melbourne and Albury airport.
