About the prospect
We are looking for an effective and proven leader to drive this business-critical division.
Reporting to the General Manager Fertiliser, your responsibilities will include:
- Identify, develop and successfully implement strategies that will improve the specialty fertiliser business performance
- Negotiate profitable and improved trading arrangements with key suppliers
- Develop market intelligence and insights for internal stakeholders
- Manage opportunities in the proprietary segment for specialty fertiliser
- Manage risk in the global supply chain for proprietary brand and align to strategy
- Ensure data files are correctly maintained, including pricing, rebates and margins
- Identify, develop and successfully implement strategies that will work towards continuous improvement
- Management risk associated with domestic & international commodity markets
What you will bring
- Strong commercial acumen and risk management mindset
- Experience and understanding of the specialty fertiliser market from sourcing through to field application
- Proven inventory management
- Ability to form and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Well-developed strategic and analytical skills
- Provide the highest level of customer service to clients at all touch points
- Tertiary qualifications in Ag Business or similar are desirable, but not mandatory
