Your Opportunity + Impact
The Senior Engineer functions as a technical leader and is required to have a Professional Engineer (PE) license and relevant work experience. This position will coordinate overall design activities, project submission schedules, and will be responsible for QA/QC duties to ensure the final product meets technical requirements and client goals. The Senior Engineer is also responsible for meeting budgets and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform independent planning and design tasks, review work of others, prepare construction documents, and successfully deliver projects.
* Handle technically complex projects.
* Maintain collaborative relationships within the project team.
* Possess knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
* Perform final QA/QC review of project submissions.
* Develop schedules, technical proposals, and labor hour estimates.
* Work closely with project teams to describe and deliver scope of work.
* Support quality assurance and quality control processes to improve deliverables and reduce errors.
* Perform design calculations, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
* Develop and maintain design budgets for complex scopes of work.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in relevant Engineering from an ABET-accredited school, Landscape Architecture, or related field.
* Minimum of 12 years' job-related experience.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Qualifications
* Thorough knowledge of the A/E industry and ability to resolve complex design and construction issues quickly.
* Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation/InRoads, Hydrologic and Hydraulic Software, or similar programs.
* Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver innovative solutions.
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to technical excellence.
* Proactive in staying current with industry standards and emerging technologies.
