Support a Young Person in Need
We are seeking individuals who can provide positive relationships and support to young people in our Specialist Foster Care and CARE School Retention Mentoring programs across the Adelaide regions. Our team works with children and young people between 6 and 17 years old, helping them develop life skills, education, employment, and leisure activities.
About the Role
Mentors will be carefully matched to a child or young person based on their personality, interests, and skills. They will work alongside other professionals to create a supportive environment that fosters growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish positive relationships with peers and adults
* Model appropriate behaviours
* Provide pathways to increased opportunities in education, employment, and community connections
To be successful, you will need:
Qualifications and Skills
* Cert III in Child, Youth, Family, or Community Services
* A current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain before commencement
* A current 'Safe Environments – Through Their Eyes' certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
* A current Australian driver's licence (P2 or above)
* A reliable and roadworthy vehicle with insurance (Third Party Property at a minimum)
