BAE Systems is delighted to partner with one of Australia’s leading recruitment agencies, Randstad, who are recruiting experienced Electricians to join our Electrical team for major naval shipbuilding programs in Osborne, SA.

Contingent/Casual positions with full-time hours available – Hourly base rate of $61.81

Please note, if successful you will be employed by Randstad PTY LTD and working on-site at Osborne for BAE Systems.

About The OPPORTUNITY

We have a new opportunity for Electricians to join our Destroyer Capability Enhancement Program based at Osborne.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9 day fortnight

Key responsibilities include:Execute tasks defined as being electrical functions within Production to ensure delivery in line with the Manufacturing PlanCarry out tasks both on-board the Naval Vessel and also within a workshop environmentUndertake tasks as described within Electrical Job Cards and complete associated documentation to capture job progressEnsure time keeping accuracy by booking to correct Job CardsInterpret and utilize electrical technical drawingsComply with required Quality and Technical directions contained within Job Card Work scopes and Process InstructionsEnsure that all equipment and areas used are maintained in a safe and organised mannerUnderstand and abide by Safety Policies and associated documentation such as Take 5, Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments and help to create a safe working environment for all employeesWork on tasks as part of a workgroup and also individuallyWork with Apprentices and oversee their skills and development as appropriateInteraction with other Trade Groups and Business Functions to enable delivery of the ProgramUndertake training as deemed appropriate for the role
About You

Trade certificate III Electro technology ElectricianHold and maintain an Australian Electrical Licence and any appropriate licencing for the equipment used and tasks performed within the shipyardDemonstrated experience as an electrical tradespersonMust be eligible to apply for Australian Defence Security Clearance
