About the Role

The Procurement Specialist II is responsible for managing MRO procurement transactions within an integrated supply system, and/or a client's CMMS platform. The primary objective is to execute strategic sourcing of all parts requisitioned by the client.

The Buyer II ensures accurate ordering, timely receipt, and efficient processing of materials within the site's procurement system. This includes resolving issues with delivery, price, or any other order-related problems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Follow all safety procedures at all times, attend required safety trainings.
* Identify cost savings through sourcing new suppliers, renegotiating terms, and negotiating guarantees of stock items on a regular basis.
* Exceed contractual guaranteed savings requirements by achieving savings opportunities through pricing, as well as improving profitability for clients using shared savings reports.
* Present OEM commercialization and substitution opportunities to customers to reduce costs.
* Manage OEM commercialization opportunities with customers to obtain necessary approvals, satisfy validation requirements, and complete change control processes.
* Maintain the vendor database, set up local vendors as needed, and use preferred suppliers according to corporate office guidelines.
* Generate purchase orders (POs) using the integrated supply operating system or client CMMS purchasing system.
* Expedite orders, manage the status of purchasing needs via the creation of Non-Stock and Stock POs using the site's Open Order Report.
* Maintain open lines of communication by establishing relationships with client employees, including management levels as necessary.

Candidate Requirements:

* A high school diploma is required; college coursework or a college degree is preferred.
* 2-3 years of MRO Purchasing experience are required.
* Solid knowledge of MRO materials is essential.
* Proficiency in Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in integrated supply and/or client CMMS/Inventory Management systems.
* Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and executing strategic sourcing initiatives is desirable.
