We are seeking a high-performing accounting and finance professional who is ready to take the next step in their career as the Finance Partner for Digital Canberra (DCBR). The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering financial and management reporting, budgeting, and technical accounting support for various business units across the directorate. Additionally, they will help drive the development, maintenance, and implementation of financial policies and procedures relevant to service delivery and business improvement activities within DCBR. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who can absorb information and learn new skills quickly, operate effectively under pressure, and excel when given the freedom to deliver tasks with limited management guidance. This role will suit someone who enjoys a high level of variety or has a natural affinity with IT, as it focuses on supporting the ACT Government’s complex and constantly evolving IT environment. The successful applicant will join a tight-knit team and contribute to a positive culture that supports continuous improvement. The successful applicant will also assist in driving improved financial literacy by delivering coaching to staff and providing training on financial principles more broadly across DCBR. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Tertiary qualification in an accounting/finance/economics discipline with experience in reporting, budgeting, costings, or audit will be highly advantageous. Membership and professional accreditation or progress thereto of a peak Australian accounting body, such as CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA). Working knowledge of Oracle, APAIS, and TM1 systems is desirable. Notes: There are two permanent positions available immediately.
