The Opportunity
We are seeking a committed Workshop Supervisor to join our team, reporting directly to the Workshop Superintendent. In this key role, you will manage the Haulage maintenance operations at Hope Downs 2.
This is a permanent, full-time position on a rotating 8D 6RR.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure strict compliance with MinRes Safety & HSEQT procedures.
- Organise and supervise the daily tasks of workshop staff.
- Lead and support a team that includes Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Auto Electricians, Boilermakers, and Trade Assistants.
- Plan and coordinate maintenance and repair works for the Kenworth C509 road trains.
- Inspect completed work, carrying out thorough quality assessments.
- Inspire and motivate your team to achieve peak productivity and performance.
- Implement and oversee preventative maintenance initiatives to reduce the risk of equipment breakdowns.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to enhance fleet efficiency and operational outcomes.
What is required?
- Proven background in a similar supervisory role, managing and coordinating multiple trade disciplines.
- Experience in scheduling and coordinating warehouse logistics within a mining workplace.
- Holds a relevant trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical, recognised in Australia.
- Possesses a current Section 44 or Section 26.
- Deep understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and diagnostic procedures.
- Outstanding leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to perform well under pressure.
- Previous experience using Fleet Maintenance software will be highly regarded.
