Job Summary
At Home Care Darling Downs & Southern Downs we are currently seeking qualified and unqualified experienced home care workers. The Home Care Worker is responsible for providing clients with assistance, support and encouragement of independence to reside in their chosen community. Areas that may be covered, depending on base location, include Crow's Nest, Toowoomba, Warwick, Stanthorpe and Wallangarra.
Responsibilities - Qualified Home Care Worker
* Provide general domestic assistance and assist in the preparation and cooking of in‐home meals, ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety standards
* Assist clients with medication
* Provide social support to clients, including transport and assistance with social outings, shopping, etc.
* Provide personal care assistance to clients (e.g., showering, dressing, toileting)
Responsibilities - Unqualified Home Care Worker
* Provide general domestic assistance and assist in the preparation and cooking of in‐home meals, ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety standards
* Provide social support to clients, including transport and assistance with social outings, shopping, etc.
* Studying towards completion of an Aged Care/Disability qualification
Qualifications and Skills
* Certificate III in Ageing or Individual Support with competency in medication (required for qualified workers)
* A current driver's licence
* A National Police Check
* First Aid & CPR
* A comprehensively insured vehicle that is suitable and available for work purposes, if needed
