The Role
* This role involves creating menus that promote healthy eating for children.
* You'll have access to a network of centre cooks who share recipes, ideas, and tips.
* We encourage you to utilise the Feed Australia program, which provides resources to plan and budget healthy menus.
About You
* A skilled and efficient cook with experience in bulk meal preparation.
* Ability to prepare and evaluate nutritional content of menus for children of all ages.
* Experienced in stock management, budget control, and online ordering.
* Strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
* Able to cater for individual child requirements including allergies and dietary needs.
* Keen to participate in educational opportunities by teaching children about healthy food.
Requirements
* Current Food Safety and Handling Certificate.
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (desirable).
* Experience in an early childhood setting.
* Reliable transport to and from our centre.
* Current first aid certificate and resuscitation certificate.
