Key Responsibilities
The role of the Mechanical Engineer involves creating certified, safe, and legally compliant engineered solutions. This includes designing, developing, and capturing Dealer Provided Options (DPO) for external customers. Additionally, it involves the design and assessment of certified workshop equipment and tools to ensure safety and legal compliance.
Responsibilities include:
* Creating approved engineering designs and solutions
* Analysing Engineering Design Orders (EDO) and Dealer Provided Options (DPO) with stakeholders, suppliers, and CAT systems
* Compliance, safety, and risk assessments
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Knowledge of regulations, standards, and guidelines, including Health, Safety, and Environment standards
* Proficiency in manual design calculations, engineering documentation, and technical review for machine modifications
* Understanding of Australian and International design standards
* Experience in resolving mechanical issues for mobile equipment
* Project management skills, delivering business-focused outcomes, and experience working in project-based teams
* Strong initiative, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Nastran
* Professional Engineering (PE - Stage 1 Competency) status with Engineers Australia
* Experience in finite element analysis (FEA) is desirable
