Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Media and Communications Officer based in Kingston, Tasmania. Responsibilities include planning and executing public relations campaigns, managing media relations, creating and curating engaging content for various platforms, and coordinating communication strategies to promote the organisation's initiatives. The officer will also monitor media coverage, prepare reports, and ensure that external messaging aligns with the organisation's goals and values.
Qualifications
Experience in Public Relations, Media Relations, and Corporate Communications
Proficiency in Content Creation, Copywriting, and Editing
Strong skills in Social Media Management and Digital Marketing
Ability to develop and execute Communication Strategies effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with environmental or public sector communication is an advantage
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
