Warehouse Manager
Posted: 19 February
Offer description

Elizabeth Scott Agencies is a Melbourne-based womenswear company, supplying both boutiques, and public customers across Australia and New Zealand.

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our team in a part-time position. In this role you will be responsible for organisation of the warehouse space, management of inventory, and co-ordination of order fulfilment. This job requires a mix of communication with other members of the team; record-keeping and solo desk work; and hands-on, physical handling of the stock. Relevant prior experience will be looked upon favourably, particularly in management or leadership capacities. Strong communication skills and proven organisational ability is essential.

Day-to-day tasks and specific responsibilities will include:

* Communication between Sales and Warehouse Staff on priorities throughout the day.

* Picking and packing orders, completing shipping documentation, and booking courier pickups.

* Thorough record-keeping of all stock movements.

* Making adjustments to the digital inventory for incoming deliveries, returns and repairs, and stocktaking.

* Replenishment of warehouse consumables and maintenance of equipment.

* Management of the warehouse layout, space utilisation, workflow efficiency, general tidiness, and safety of the working environment.

* Some client-facing interaction may also be involved in this role.

Key competencies and characteristics for this role:

* Strong written and verbal communication skills will be essential for the successful candidate.

* Speed and confidence in basic numeracy, and attention to detail are likewise critical skills to ensure orders are correctly invoiced and fulfilled, and inventory is accurately recorded.

* The role requires good general proficiency in IT, and may include occasional basic troubleshooting. Previous experience with invoicing, inventory, and shipping is preferred.

* The role also requires good general physical fitness, and will include moving boxes of stock and other equipment.

* The ability to work methodically in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is key. Thorough note-taking, as well as good information recall, integration of instructions, and ability to keep track of multiple tasks throughout the day are all required skills.

* Ultimately we are looking for someone who can work both autonomously and collaboratively; someone who is focussed, pro-active, and hands-on.

This role will be suitable for candidates who are Melbourne-based, with full working rights, and looking to commit for 12 months or more. Currently we are looking for a commitment of 30hrs/wk, Monday - Thursday, with an initial 3 month probation period. Pay-rate is open to negotiation following the probation period. There may be potential also to expand the role to a full-time position.
