Our Resource Recovery team forms part of Sustainable Monash, delivering a range of recycling and waste education programs that support the community to reduce waste and improve recycling outcomes. We are currently seeking motivated and community-focused individuals to join a dynamic and supportive team for an exciting opportunity in waste education and engagement.
About the Position
We are seeking casual Recycling Contamination Officers to support the Recycle Right Feedback Program through door‐knocking, bin inspections and resident education to reduce contamination. This role involves working outdoors in pairs, recording data, and contributing to improved recycling outcomes across the community.
Skills and Experience
Strong communication skills to engage residents clearly and respectfully, with additional language skills highly regarded
* Ability to work outdoors in a physically active role across different locations
* Confident in recording data and taking photos
* Ability to follow procedures and work under general supervision
* Good time management and ability to meet daily target
* Positive, team-focused approach with the ability to work effectively in pairs
Requirements
* Employee Working with Children's Check (if applicable)
* Satisfactory National Police Check
* Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
