Position Summary:
Canadian Solar is seeking an experienced and passionate Sr. Sales Manager, Key Account Manager to drive growth in the utility-scale market. The incumbent will develop, strengthen, and oversee relationships with key customers in the region to support our rapidly growing industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Seek out Investors and Solar Developers to promote and include Canadian Solar products and services for their Australian and New Zealand projects, including Solar Panels, Inverters, BESS, other future product offerings Where Canadian Solar has not been exclusively chosen by Investors or Developers,
* Seek out and supply to EPCs for Utility PV Project opportunities in Australia and New Zealand
* Build and sustain productive relationships with potential project partners, balance of system supply partners, Government and regulatory bodies and other relevant market participants.
* Develop and deliver progress reports, memorandums, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential, issues and formulate contingency plans.
* Maintain and ensure an extensive knowledge of current market conditions & future trends with key stakeholders.
* Develop a strategy for product sales for utility scale projects.
* Work with various stakeholders to close out the sales contract.
* Other job-related duties as assigned by Senior Management.
Required Qualifications:
* Relevant tertiary education is preferred, but not essential.
* At least 5 years' experience of relevant experience in renewables.
* Demonstrated experience in utility-scale and a track record of delivering growth
* Outstanding communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate cross-culturally.
* A driven and motivated self-starter.
* Robust understanding of the industry, regulation and environmental issues in the relevant jurisdictions.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
* A passion for sustainability and the renewable energy sector.
