Reporting to the Chief Executive and joining the Executive Leadership Team, the
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
will be a critical partner in strengthening Uniting Communities' financial performance, commercial discipline and long-term sustainability. This role elevates decision-making through in-depth financial insights, strong governance and clear accountability across corporate and commercial functions. Leading a broad mandate including financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cashflow, investment and risk, you will also have an integrated remit across technology, procurement, property, insurance and major projects. The focus is practical and outcomes-driven including improving reporting beyond compliance, strengthening controls, modernising systems and enabling smarter investment of resources to maximise community impact.
We are seeking a contemporary CFO with proven success in complex, regulated or government-funded environments. You will bring strong commercial judgement, credibility with Boards and executives and the ability to influence change in a values-led organisation. Experience across not-for-profit, health, aged care, disability, community services or similar sectors will be well regarded, alongside capability in digital uplift and financial governance.
