Project Delivery Professional | Execution, Handover, Commissioning and Close-out | 6 month plus Contract

Our client has an enviable background within our region's mining history and presents with a global portfolio of operations. They are currently looking for a Principal Project Delivery, in which you will be actively involved in the delivery of Tailings projects for the mine.
**Your new role**
Success in this role will be achieved through engagement with, the project team, internal and external stakeholders, engineering consultants and construction contractors. You will actively support the Delivery Lead in all aspects of project management of the execution, handover, commissioning and close out phases of the project.
In this role you will:
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety by actively engaging in the company's Field Leadership program.
- Support the Delivery Lead in all aspects of the execution of the project gaining exposure to commercial, construction and technical management of projects.
- Ensure compliance with company safety requirements, statutory regulations and standards and relevant site standards and specifications.
- Support the mobilisation and onboarding of the construction contractor/s to site.
- Perform regular evaluation of project risks and implement controls where necessary.
- Support implementation and management of our client's systems and processes on the project
- Undertake analysis and prepare project reporting across various platforms to stakeholders.
- Hold a high standard of personal operational discipline and establish routines necessary for safe and efficient project delivery.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for coal asset projects vision and role model their culture of care.
You will also:
- Demonstrate experience in Project Management (Formal qualifications in Civil Engineering, STEM related, or Project Management fields will be well regarded but not mandatory).
- Be proactive and self-driven, with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Have the ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders, consultants and contractors.
- Possess good technical and communication skills, including the ability to analyse data and produce concise reports and presentations.
- Be solutions focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Present as a team player who operates with honesty and integrity and has the ability to work effectively with others.
- Exhibit the ability to manage change with resilience.
- Have the flexibility to travel to the Hunter Valley, NSW up to 4 days per week.
