We're looking for a warm and reliable Administrative Support Officer (ASO) to join our welcoming team at South West Medical Centre.
In this fast-paced, front-line role, you will work alongside a passionate team of admin staff, GPs, Nurses, and our Practice Manager to create a smooth, supportive experience for every patient who walks through our doors.
What you will be doing
Greet and check in patients with a smile
Schedule appointments and manage patient enquiries
Keep medical records and admin systems up to date
Process payments and handle banking with care
Ensure clinical spaces are stocked and ready
Manage referrals, scanning, and general admin tasks
Position overview
Contract type & hours: Fixed Term, Full Time (76 hours per fortnight)
Contract duration: December **** to February ****
Shift pattern: 8-hour shifts scheduled throughout a 5-day work week
Location and salary
Location: South West Medical Centre
Classification: Administrative Grade 1
Salary range (pro-rata per annum): $54,****** – $64,610 plus superannuation
What you'll bring
Strong team player with the ability to work independently
Calm, friendly, and professional under pressure
Excellent organisation, time management, and communication skills
Experience in a GP clinic, medical terminology, or GP software is a bonus—but not essential
