High-Quality Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist
Coastal Metro Hospital is seeking an experienced specialist to join the mental health team in Melbourne. This role presents a unique opportunity to deliver evidence-based care to vulnerable young people and families.
This position involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, social workers, nurses, and paediatricians to provide comprehensive care in inpatient and community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert assessment, treatment, and management for children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement high-quality care plans.
* Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and trainees.
* Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives.
* Engage in clinical governance activities as required.
Requirements:
* Fellowship of the RANZCP, with accredited subspecialty training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
* Current (or eligibility for) specialist registration with AHPRA.
* Demonstrated experience in working with vulnerable young people and families.
* Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
