Be responsible for estimating tender quotes and ensuring that tenders are accurate and submitted on time for various construction remediation projects across our growing NSW division.
THE ROLE
* Prepare and develop accurate cost estimates
* Compile accurate material quantity take-offs to develop bills of quantities
* Assist preparing and developing construction methodologies, programs and submission documentation
* Develop estimates from first principles using site productivity rates
* Prepare risk and opportunity including cost escalation analysis for estimates
* Review designs and engineering specifications for cost effectiveness and suggest alternatives where applicable
* Hand over detailed tenders with traceability and support into pre-contracts and delivery
About You
* Previous experience in estimating in Defence, Construction and/or building remediation
* Strong interpersonal skills, confidence, professionalism and self-motivation
* A strong financial and commercial acumen
* High level attention to detail and the ability to work to set timeframes while multitasking
* Capability to present your estimates to Senior Management for approval to submit
* Actively seek additional information or clarification through RFI's to the Client to ensure a complete set of tender documents
* Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar equivalent
