Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC) is offering an exciting temporary fixed-term opportunity for a Corporate Affairs Specialist to lead our brand, reputation, and stakeholder engagement efforts. This full-time role is ideal for an experienced communications professional ready to make a significant impact while supporting our Government & Corporate Relations team.

Role Overview
As Corporate Affairs Specialist, you will:
* Lead the delivery of communication and stakeholder engagement strategies
* Support government relations and prepare materials for the shareholder Ministers and key stakeholders
* Enhance GPC's reputation and social licence to operate through proactive communications
* Oversee external events and support crisis and issues management
* Monitor government, regulatory, and industry trends to identify opportunities and risks
* Prepare high-level reports and briefings for the Board, Executive Leadership Team and other as required.
What We're Looking For
To succeed, you'll bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
* Proven experience in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and crisis management
* Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and managing teams
* Ability to liaise confidently with government and ministerial offices
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Commitment to upholding GPC's values and workplace safety
Desirable: IAP2 Certificate in Public Participation and Maritime Security Identification Card (or ability to obtain).
