About the Role

Working with a dedicated Assistant Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of small and medium-sized businesses, connecting with passionate business owners across a range of industries. By developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of their business and financial needs, you’ll drive growth through acquisition, increasing share of wallet and referrals. Thanks to investment in new systems and technologies, you’ll have great insights and data to support your efforts.

You’ll develop valuable technical expertise as you collaborate with product partners and other ANZ stakeholders to design, structure, and execute deals. You’ll be supported by a results-driven leadership team to learn from and guide you.

This role offers a great opportunity to advance your business banking career, with pathways within our commercial division or into other areas of ANZ.

What will your day look like?

* Providing customers with appropriate solutions by understanding their needs
* Building and maintaining strong internal and external networks to support deal design and execution
* Structuring deals in conjunction with relevant product and specialist teams
* Proactively managing credit and operational risks
* Applying Relationship Credit Approval Discretion as appropriate


What will you bring?

To succeed in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

* Ability to build long-term customer relationships and maintain high customer satisfaction
* Strong understanding of commercial mid-market banking products
* Ability to understand customers’ business needs and offer tailored solutions
* Experience assessing, advising, monitoring, and/or approving a customer's creditworthiness and credit risk, along with suitable credit structuring options
* Ability to negotiate terms and conditions of credit facilities and other banking products to align with the customer’s business goals
* Strong commercial acumen and the ability to drive efficiency and create long-term value
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk management principles, and risk mitigation strategies
