About the Role: We are looking for a Junior Prosthetist to join a dynamic team in this new private practice role in Central Coast NSW. In this role, you will be responsible for providing basic clinical services to clients to meet each client’s identified goals. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Communicating effectively with clinical team, other health care providers and clients to deliver appropriate client care within scope of responsibility level; Developing and managing a client plan by collecting all relevant information and appraising the validity and importance of information to achieve the required goals and outcome; Casting, evaluating, modifying and fitting prostheses where required to achieve the required goals and outcomes; Reviewing the client at appropriate internals to evaluate fit, function, quality and safety of the prosthesis; Attendance where required at amputee clinics to prescribe appropriate treatment in conjunction with the medical specialist within the hospital environment; Communicating effectively with the technical team to assist with the manufacture of prostheses; Adhering to workplace safety requirements and identifying and minimising potential risks wherever possible; Demonstrating a systematic approach to development, analysis, problem solving and decision making to ensure improvement of skills and independence over time; Undertaking and contributing to professional development by demonstrating an enquiring approach to practice; Maintaining accurate records of all client attendance, occasion and type of services and documenting all aspects of client care; Understanding and conforming to funding arrangements, required administration and reporting requirements; Maintaining designated equipment, work area, and storage areas, ensuring they are clean and tidy; Benefits: Relocation allowance on offer $90K plus super Onsite parking Bonus incentive scheme accessible after probation Sponsorship on offer About You: Tertiary qualification in Prosthetics Must hold AOPA or are eligible for AOPA registration Strong work ethic Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Eligible to work permanently in Australia About Us: MediRecruit provides a specialist healthcare recruitment and career advisory service for Allied Health professionals in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
