About the role
Phoenix Boats Pty is seeking a skilled Marine Mechanic to join our team in South Nowra, NSW. This is a casual role, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your needs. As a Marine Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of boats, ensuring they are in top condition and ready to sail.
What you'll be doing
1. Perform routine maintenance on marine engines, mechanical systems, and electrical components
2. Diagnose and repair issues with boat engines, propulsion systems, and other mechanical components
3. Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to identify and address potential problems
4. Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used
5. Provide exceptional customer service to boat owners and operators
6. Collaborate with the team to ensure the timely completion of all boat servicing and repairs
What we're looking for
1. Qualifications or trade certificate in Marine Mechanics or a similar field
2. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Marine Mechanic or in a related role
3. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
4. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
5. Knowledge of boat maintenance and repair procedures, including engine, electrical, and hydraulic systems
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
