Job Overview
The Aboriginal Child Wellbeing Practitioner plays a vital role in supporting vulnerable children, young people, and families at risk.
* This includes working directly with DCP, DfE, and SA Health systems to strengthen communication and understanding for timely service responses.
To achieve this goal, the practitioner must demonstrate effective case practice and management by providing high-quality service delivery that meets the needs of children and their families in a timely manner.
Partnerships with government and non-government support services are essential in identifying and implementing responses to mitigate child protection risk, including domestic and family violence.
The practitioner will also create opportunities to work collaboratively with other services to effectively link vulnerable children and families to relevant services, assess their needs, and plan focussed interventions to safeguard them.
In essence, the role requires a professional who can build relationships, engage communities, and deliver targeted solutions to promote positive outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
