As part of the Bunzl Group, Bunzl Safety and Lifting is a manufacturing, import, and wholesale business, specialising in the provision of reputable, quality, and innovative branded products, including Beaver lifting & materials handling, Beaver load restraint, B‐Safe height safety, onsite services.
Join our Townsville based Field Inspection team as a Mobile Service Technician with full training provided. You'll be inspecting and testing lifting and rigging equipment, producing chain slings and wire ropes, issuing test reports to NATA and ISO standards, and working both on site and in our workshop. You'll enjoy the freedom to work independently, backed by a supportive manager and collaborative team.
Key responsibilities
* Inspect lifting, rigging, and height safety equipment on site and in‐house
* Produce and test chain slings and wire ropes
* Complete and issue compliance test reports
* Travel to client sites, including mines, with paid overtime and travel allowances
* Support production and warehouse tasks when required
About you
You're mechanically minded, ideally with a background in production, manufacturing, or equipment servicing. Experience in lifting, rigging, or height safety is highly regarded.
* Relevant rigging qualifications and knowledge of WH&S regulations
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Willingness to travel and work flexibly, including outside standard hours
* Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing tasksA proactive, team‐focused approach
