About the role
An exciting career opportunity exists in our busy Brisbane office for an experienced Legal Secretary in our Government team.
Our lawyers require administrative support of the highest order. Your key responsibilities will include preparation of minor correspondence and court documents, updating of monthly and quarterly client reports, preparation of briefs to counsel (generally electronic), management of lawyers' diaries, file administration, billing, and other general administrative responsibilities including occasional transcribing of digital dictation, as required. You will regularly liaise with clients and external providers, so your polished telephone manner and communication skills are required. The team works almost exclusively electronically and so strong skills in that area will be highly valued.
Work hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm.
About You
You will have previous experience as a legal secretary of at least 1 year, fast and accurate typing skills of 70+wpm, sound knowledge of MS Office and have an enthusiastic, proactive and highly organised work method.
