This key role in our procurement team requires a proactive individual with a can‐do attitude, responsible for performing and managing procurement and purchasing activities across the organisation. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to understand and address procurement needs.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, clarify, define, and refine the scope of supply, supply requirements, and statement of work.
- Provide regular updates.
- Respond quickly to changing procurement requirements and project needs.
- Make fast, informed decisions under tight deadlines to minimise project disruption.
- Address supplier issues quickly to ensure project timelines are met.
- Ensure compliance with procurement regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate procurement risks.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Identify opportunities and provide recommendations for procurement systems and process improvements and efficiency.
- Foster a proactive and solutions‐oriented approach to procurement challenges.
- Address problems that are not immediately evident but complex, difficult to resolve and would cause delays and considerable expenditure of resources.
- Approach the market, including obtaining quotes, releasing requests for tender, evaluating offers, and assessing the market's capacity to supply.
- Initiate and support supply chain due diligence activities.
- Perform procurement planning and scheduling.
- Contribute to performance management against key performance indicators and performance reporting.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Equivalent experience or a Cert IV in Supply Chain (Procurement, Material Logistics), Contracting, Business, Commerce, Law, Finance, or a relevant technical background.
- Minimum of 5 years of previous relevant procurement and/or purchasing experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint for collaboration and document management.
- Ability to create impactful presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint for stakeholders.
- Prioritise tasks effectively to handle multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently under limited supervision.
- Advanced understanding and ability to use software/online‐based procurement/purchasing management systems.
