The purpose of this role is to provide technically defensible, and innovative water resources services to clients, with a focus on catchment hydrology and flood modelling.The aim is to build a reputation across ANZ as an industry leader as an individual, and also as a resilient team.
The role will be required to write proposals for, win and lead both complex and smaller water resources projects, as well as work collaboratively with other disciplines.Key requirements include:Strong verbal and written communication skillsUndertaking, leading and contributing to a range of projects including permitting and consent projects, hazard assessments, adaptation planning and infrastructure projects.Demonstrated ability to provide technically defensible input into hydrology and flood modelling challengesAbility to work collaboratively to provide specialist scientific support to other technical disciplines within JacobsLiaison with clients, stakeholders and regulators to support technical deliveryLiaison with Jacobs teams in ANZ and globallyCoaching and mentoring of junior team members to assist in building a high performing teamPresenting information to stakeholders in meetings in a concise and effective manner.Authoring complex assessments / reportsUndertaking quality assurance processes, including undertaking technical review of project deliverables.Managing projects so that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality.Here's what you'll needDegree in Engineering Review or compile technical reports that detail the type, methodologies, results of field activities, interpretation of results and impact assessmentStrong presentation skills and ability to present complex information in a range of forums, including client and stakeholder workshops, planning panel and consent hearings, community forums, conferences etc.Able to build relationships with clients, lead business development and secure new opportunities with existing and new clientsEffectively collaborate with the wider water resource practice to share technical skills, resources, and work packagesMaintain industry leading proficiency in the use of standard tools, techniques and equipment that are required for the undertaking, completion, and delivery of your work in water quality scienceEnsure sufficient knowledge of the legislation and policies that are relevant to our workSupport Water Resources Section Leader, Principals and Technical Directors, to develop and enhance the team's capability
