The Team
The Tasmanian Department of Health seeks a dedicated Alcohol and Other Drug Clinical Lead to join Alcohol and Drug Services – North (ADS).
Responsibilities
* Actively contribute to clinical leadership and management of the multidisciplinary community alcohol and drug service, ensuring high‐quality, comprehensive Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) service in line with the Agency Strategic Plan and relevant policies.
* Support the Team Leader by taking a lead role in overseeing clinical processes such as intake, crisis response, interim support, assertive case management and general team coordination.
* Support the Team Leader by providing line and performance management to a designated group of staff within the Alcohol and Drug Service North.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated capacity to undertake a coordination/leadership role within a multidisciplinary community alcohol and other drugs service, including supervision and support of staff.
* Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary evidence‐based practice for the treatment and prevention of alcohol and other drug dependence, including assessment, harm minimisation, interventions and prevention activities.
* Proven ability to contribute to quality and safety processes at the individual service level.
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
Desirable
* Minimum of 3 years post‐graduate clinical experience in an alcohol and other drug service.
* Holding or working towards a relevant tertiary qualification in alcohol and/or other drugs (AOD) field.
* Current Driver's Licence.
Details of Appointment
Permanent full‐time day worker, 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary and Superannuation
Salary range $118,297 to $125,543 per annum. Employer superannuation contribution of 12% on top of the salary.
