The role will be part of the Data and Development team in the Business Development Group and will report to the Development Lead. The role will be responsible for transformation and development of operational data from numerous sources into PowerBI data flows and data models.
**What's the role?**
- Migrate and transform large, complex datasets from diverse sources, structures and formats modelled to support analysis and access to quality actionable insights
- Build end to end data pipelines using on premise or cloud based data platforms
- Develop, publish and schedule Power BI data flows and datasets as per the business requirements
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation for deployment of development models to production
- Ensure output is developed and adequately tested against defined criteria
- Troubleshoot to resolve issues / defects found
**Who are you?**
- A strong analytical thinker and problem solver with thought leadership and commercial awareness
- Proven experience in Microsoft BI Stack - Excel, PowerBI Desktop and Online Service DAX Power M Query
- Knowledge of writing complex SQL queries for the generation and extraction of data performance tuning
- Knowledgeable in relational and big data architectures, data warehousing, data integration, data modelling, data optimization and data analysis techniques
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role with a broad technical focus
- The ability to effectively communicate technical details clearly
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently
