Chief Executive Officer Job Summary
Binarri-binyja Yarrawoo is seeking a strategic leader to drive the organisation's growth and provide expert advice to members and the board.
The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for leading advocacy efforts, influencing policy development, and advancing the empowerment of Aboriginal people and families in the East Kimberley.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic leadership and financial management at an organisational level
* High-level governance, compliance, and risk management
* Negotiation and management of government and non-government funding
* Delivering advice to a board or management committee
* Building trusted relationships with stakeholders across government, community, and partner organisations
Requirements:
* Strong leadership and governance skills
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage complex projects and teams
* Experience in advocacy and policy development
* Knowledge of Aboriginal cultural protocols and practices
